Join us at the 2025 European conference for UV/EB curing technology
The two-day conference will address the future of low-VOC radiation curing and examine new and emerging trends and innovations. Our experts will present on the latest research, current developments and innovations in the field of UV/EB curing.
How new developmental biobased resins can be combined with a mass balance approach to integrate circular solutions into UV/EB coatings applications
When it comes to creating a comfortable and inviting living space, the role of furniture and flooring coatings is often underestimated. These coatings not only contribute to the aesthetic and design but also play a key role in ensuring durability, functionality, and overall comfort. Supporting the rising trend for decorative surface finishes, the UV/EB curing technology enable a fast-curing low energy process, completely free of solvents and formaldehyde.
Biobased coatings represent an essential step further towards more sustainable practices in the furniture and flooring industries. Sartomer® bio-attributed solutions through mass balance will be introduced as a complementary approach to bio segregated solutions, while keeping performance, protection, and personalization in mind
New low hazard resins for cationic polymerisation
The proposal for a harmonised classification of ECC (7-oxabicyclo[4.1.0]hept-3-ylmethyl 7-oxabicyclo[4.1.0]heptane-3-carboxylate), the most commonly used resin in cationic UV curing to mutagen 2 classification has prompted the search more sustainable solutions.
Two low hazard polymeric cycloaliphatic epoxides have been developed which, when formulated with suitable diluents and components can provide high reactivity, high resistance inks and coatings free from hazardous components.
