Electron Beam Curing: Effect of acrylate monomer and oligomer selection on the properties of EB cured coatings The live webinar will be held on May 26 at 15:00 h CET.
EB CURING TO BOOST GROWTH OF RADIATION
Electron-beam (EB) technology can be more relevant than UV technology in some high-speed and high-volume applications, such as pigmented coil coating and release paper on one hand and packaging printing for food contact on the other. Recent advances, along with more compact and less expensive equipment, can further expand the range of applications for this technology, that can be expected to contribute substantially to the growth of radiation curing in the future.
On May 26, Xavier Drujon, Technical Service & Development Manager Industrial Coatings, Sartomer Europe, will present a recent study in which a series of aliphatic urethane acrylates were subjected to EB-induced cure after dilution in reactive diluents. The results confirm many of the benefits of using urethane acrylates for the formulation of EB-curable systems, including high reactivity, excellent balance between hardness and flexibility
